What

Students work in pairs to complete the Math Reps. You give students a number and they apply that number to the work mat. This should be done daily and assessed each week. The first week or two should be done as a group until the class understands what is expected.

Why

Constant repetition of skills will allow students to continue to practice previously learned skills and gain confidence in doing so. It takes a while the first week or so, but in time, students will successfully complete it in a short period of time.

How

There are 3 main components to this.

  1. Share protocol with students

  2. Students complete the template on their own

  3. Use the same template over and over on a regular basis until mastery is reached

Resources

  1. Math Rep Guide

  2. EduProtocol Books
