Why: Surveys are important because they make students feel like they are heard and that they have a voice in their class. They are more likely to feel like their voice matters, and that they have a say in their learning. It’s important to show students that we are adapting. We should be “deeply rooted with a sense of groundedness but also flexible in branches”.

What: Google form, padlet : Surveys/gathering class input

How:

  • Send out a google form every few weeks to gather information and input from students

  • Use padlet to have students share ideas such as music they enjoy to start off class, self care ideas, etc

  • You can use this as part of class time activities for a classwork or participation grade, or as a homework assignment.
