Semester Performance/Grade Reflection

Why: Reflection gives the brain an opportunity to pause amidst the chaos, untangle and sort through observations and experiences, consider multiple possible interpretations, and create meaning. This meaning becomes learning, which can then inform future mindsets and actions. Students can set goals while fostering a growth mindset.

What: Students are asked to reflect on their previous semester performance and create goals for this upcoming term/grading period/semester.

How: There are 4 main components to this.

  1. Introduction - Growth Mindset (depending on students familiarity) 

  2. Individual Reflection Time via Google Form

  3. Optional Partner Reflection Time (accountability buddy) 

  4. Group Conversation
