Curated by: Kara Alhadeff

What: My school created an engagement rubric to help name how to assess student engagement during distance learning.

Why: A rubric allows for teachers and leaders to calibrate their scoring for student engagement. This rubric has multiple areas of focus, which explains a variety of ways a student can demonstrate their engagement.
How: A student gets a score once a week for each course. By having this system, students can understand where they stand for each course. Teachers can also use this rubric as a guide when having conversations with students/families. This resource can be used weekly, monthly, or quarterly!

Best For: teachers, school leadership, grade level leads, content leads
